Rampurhat is a rapidly growing township in Birbhum District in the Indian state of West Bengal. It has a dynamic connectivity with other places of West Bengal and neighboring states via state highways, national highway and rail route. As of Census 2011 Rampurhat has a total population of 57000 of which 29070 are male and 27930 are female. It has got rich heritage. The local tribal people, mostly belonging to the Santhali groups, and Boul community striving to maintain their culture.
